DELTARUNE - Hypothesis | PATCH 0.0.2
DELTARUNE - Hypothesis » Devlog
A rocky start, yes. But hey, just like Ralsei said, you'll always start somewhere!
If you encounter any issues with this new release, please don't hesitate to join the DELTARUNE - Hypothesis Discord Server and let us know so we can fix it ASAP!
IMPORTANT NOTE
- The V-SYNC Option has been temporarily removed as it is proving to be a great annoyance. The game shouldn't screen tear too much in the first place as it is locked to 30 FPS.
General Fixes
- The Settings Menu no longer covers half the screen for some players. This was an issue with Unity storing the wrong resolution and preventing it from being changed.
- Sipletts no longer linger within the world forever if spared.
- The green attack box is now properly removed if returning to the menu mid-battle.
- Both C Menus in the light and dark world are a lot more stable and shouldn't stay open if you enter a cutscene.
- The game is now rendered at the correct resolution. Previously, it was a few pixels wider than intended, which caused some UI issues.
- Player movement has been slightly tweaked to be more responsive and less susceptible to being canceled while loading a new scene. (This issue still happens every now and then; still looking into possible fixes.)
- Castle Town in A Prophecy Foretold no longer shrinks the game view while in fullscreen.
- Tasque and Tasque Managers hitboxes in A Prophecy Foretold have been adjusted to prevent one from blocking the other.
- The "You Became Stronger" dialogue no longer displays random semicolons when the text is forcefully finished.
- Adjusted sprite orderings in Overworlds And Ogres to prevent Susie from becoming a ghost. (Spooky!)
- Party members in battle now play the correct animations when preparing items, magic, and sparing.
- A TON of spelling and grammar corrections.
- Lag spikes in A Prophecy Foretold, Overworlds And Ogres, Taking Shelter, Free Drinks, and Concluding Melody have been lessened, if not completely removed. Music is now preloaded when starting a hypothetical instead of a frame before it needs to be played.
- Noelle now has her proper unique spells in the Siplett battle.
- Battles now properly send out events when a battle begins.
- Fighting in battles now properly gives TP.
- Corrections to credits in Concluding Melody.
- Sans in Overworlds And Ogres now correctly uses his tired dialogue if he's forced to do a little exercise.
- Sans no longer fades away in the question mark door ending of Overworlds And Ogres.
- Removed echo effect from the first Overworlds And Ogres adventure.
Improvements
- A new "Restart Battle" button will be available to use in the pause menu during battles.
- Most of the default DELTARUNE dialogue in A Prophecy Foretold has been swapped out with unique dialogue to better match its place in the story. (Thanks ellie normal!)
- New townsfolk have been added to A Prophecy Foretold to better match its place in the story. If this bonus quest was already completed, you will still have its accompanying log unlocked.
- The odds for the slot machine have been slightly tweaked to be fairer.
- The game version number is now visible on the main menu.
- DEBUG menu text made easier to read.
- There is now visual feedback for when money is earnt.
- Markiplier.
